In Lieu of Actual Posts-

I found some interesting links while trolling the internet today:

Desert Flier is the blog of Navy LT Carl Goforth, a Trauma/Flight nurse in Ar Ramadi. His entries range from the mundane to very frank descriptions of what he deals with on the job.

I also found an article from the start of last month talking about the Ramadi reconstruction conference held by US commanders and Iraqi leaders. Quotable:
"The time for dictatorship is gone, and we are welcoming the new dawn of democracy and freedom here"

from Sheik Abdul Sattar Abu Risha, the leader of the Anbar Salvation Council.

Trauma nurse, hmmm? Sounds like a fun job that maybe I should try.

Honey, you're riding the same routes my son did up to about two months ago. I'm thinking about you, and am unreasonably passionate about the success in at least that corner of Iraq. Thanks for writing, and keep it up.
